Peacefully at the Western Hospital, Alberton, on Sunday, June 3, 2012, with her loving family by her side, of Violet Mary (Vi) Gaudette, of Greenmount P.E.I. She was the daughter of the late Ernest and Winnifred Mae (nee Rayner) Getson. She was predeceased by her first husband Ervin Rayner and an infant son at birth, and by her second husband Wilbert Gaudette. Lovingly remembered by her children: Vera (Norman) Bernard, Lois (Rodney) Gaudet, Donna (Kerry) Arsenault, Grace (Barry) Fennessey, Bruce (Kim) Rayner, Monica (Robert) Perry, and Mike (Donna) Rayner. She will be sadly missed by her loving 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Also survived by special friend John Millar and by her sisters: Ethel Follington, Marion Blackburn, Florence (Jim) Hall, and Elsie (William) Blackburn, and by sisters and brothers-in-law, Laura Getson, Elva Getson, Aldona Rayner and LeRoy Hiltz. She was predeceased by brothers: Norman, Doug, Sydney and Percy Getson, her sister Edna Hiltz, brothers-in-law, Gerald Blackburn and Clarence Follington, and by nephew Jerry Blackburn. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton. By personal request visiting hours Wednesday evening from 6 to 9 p.m. for family and extended family only. Funeral on Thursday afternoon from the Greenmount Church of Christ with funeral service at 4:00 p.m. Pastor Randy Thurlow officiating. Interment in the Greenmount Church of Christ Cemetery.
