Suddenly at his late residence on Saturday July 10, 2010 of Francis Arthur Gaudet of 257 Maple Street, Tignish, aged 86 years. Beloved husband of Edna (nee Harper) Gaudet. Born on September 17, 1923, he was the son of the late Arthur P. and Beatrice (nee Arsenault) Gaudet. Lovingly remembered by his children: Peter (Anne) of Tignish; Arthur (June) of Sea Cow Pond; Leonard (Jean) of Tignish North; Wayne (Joanne) of St. Felix; Angela (Leonard) Handrahan of Tignish; Linda (Lambert) Gallant of Tignish; Betty Ann (Floyd) Gaudette of Tignish. Dear grandfather to 18 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. He is also survived by brothers and sisters, Alma (late Edmond)Gaudet of St. Catherines Ont.; Nelson (Denise) of Tignish; Edgar(Eunice) of Tignish; Ben (Edith) of Tignish; Marie (Carl) Gaudet of St. Catharines, Ont.; Arthur Jr. (Veronica) of St. Catharines, Ont. He was predeceased by a son Francis (Sonny) Gaudet, a sister Josephine Arsenault and by a brother Gerard. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home Alberton. Visiting hours Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. only. Funeral on Tuesday afternoon from St. Simon and St. Jude Church, Tignish for funeral mass at 2:00 p.m. Interment in the church cemetery.
