The death occurred at the Western Hospital, Alberton, on Tuesday, February 23, 2010, of Irene Mary Arsenault, of the Tignish Senior Coop Home, age 90 Years. Born at Skinners Pond on October 2, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Joseph J. and Beatrice M. (nee Gallant) Arsenault of Skinners Pond, PEI. 

She is survived by siblings, Howard of Dartmouth, NS; Ernest of Halifax; Melvina (Edgar) Peters of Tignish; Sylvia Arsenault of Rumford, Maine; and LeRoy of Skinners Pond. She is also survived by her many niece and nephews.

She was predeceased by a brother, Gerry, and by a sister, Emily Gerogiannis.

Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton. By personal request there will be no visitation.

A memorial mass will be celebrated at St. Simon and St. Jude Church, Tignish, at a time and date to be announced later. Interment later to take place in the church cemetery.
