The death occurred at the Trillium Hospital, Mississauga, Ontario, on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, with her loving family by her side, of Sandra Wilma (Sandy) Dunbar, formerly of 260 Oliver Road, Alberton, age 91 years. Beloved wife of the late Frederick Howard Dunbar. Born at Toronto, ON, on June 12, 1935, she was the daughter of the late James and Beatrice (nee Anderson) Cook.

Loving mother to Heather Dunbar of Niagara Falls, ON, and Jim (Pamela) Dunbar of Caledon, Ont. Cherished grandmother to Paisley Ernst and Mackenzie Ernst, Kaelan Dunbar and Austin Dunbar. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Judy (late Archie) Dunbar of Montrose, and dear friend to Velma (late Frank) Bince of Fortune Cove. Sandy will be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews, her church family from the Alberton Baptist Church and by her many friends and acquaintances.

She was predeceased by a brother.

Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home and Chapel Alberton. Visiting hours  on Monday, August 3, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral on Tuesday afteroon August 4th from the E. Gerald Rooney Memorial Chapel for funeral service at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow in the Montrose United Church Cemetery.
