The death occurred peacefully at the Maplewood Manor, Alberton, on Monday, June  22, 2026, with her loving family by her side, of Catherine (Cathy) Theresa Clohossey, of Nail Pond, PEI, age 73 years. Born at Alberton, on February 25,1953, she was the daughter of the late Edmund J. and Viola M. (nee Gallant) Perry.

On December 7, 1943 she married the love of her life, Albert George (Al) Clohossey. There they built a new home in Nail Pond where they raised their four children, Tracy, Kurt, Jamie, and Betsy (Franklyn) Pitre. She will be lovingly remembered by her four grandchildren, Neville, Richard, Maci Kinch, Madison (Riccoi) Pitre, Brooklyn Pitre, Brodie Arsenault, and by her great-grandchild, Azara Stubbs.

She is also survived by her siblings, Betty (Geroge) Bernard, Mary (Rick) Vail, Roy (late Mona) Perry, Jean (Dave) McKenna, Loena (Gary) Hayes, David (Irene) Perry, Johnny (Perry) Perry, Phyllis (Tommy) Bernard, and Joey (Gervil) Perry. She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Christine Perry. Cathy will be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews, friends, and aquaintances.

She was predeceased by her parents, Edmund and Viola, her siblings, David in infancy, Bobby, Russell, Maurice, her father and mother-in-law, William and Libby Clohossey, sister-in-law, Joan Handrahan, and nephews, Mason Perry and Miles Handrahan.

Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home and Chapel, Alberton. Visiting hours Monday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Tuesday afternoon from St. Simon and St. Jude Church, Tignish, for funeral mass at 2:00 p.m., Rev. Tim Broderick, celebrant. Interment in the church cemetery.
