The death occurred at the Palliative Care Unit of the Community Hospital, O’Leary, Prince Edward Island, on May 8, 2026, of Ralph Lawson Adams, known to everyone as Lawson, of Alberton, aged 86. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Florence Joyce (Coughlin) Adams, on April 25, 2026, just 13 days prior to his death. Lawson was born in Elmsdale on December 9, 1939, son of the late James Clayton Adams and Florence Catherine Adams.

 

Loving father to Terry (Amanda), Alberton, and Rick (Mayesh), of Ottawa, ON. Adoring grandfather to Bronson, Lily, and Bennett. He is survived by his sister, Barbara Misener, of Charlottetown, brother Ron (Madonna) Adams, of Angus, ON, as well as sisters-in-law, Norma Adams, of Alberton, Hazel Fitzgerald and Lillian Cooper, of Inverness, and brother-in-law, Everett Coughlin, of Howlan. He will be missed by countless nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

 

Predeceased by his parents, sister, Audrey Gavin. and brother, Roy Adams. 

 

Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home and Chapel, Alberton. Visiting hours Monday 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Tuesday from the E. Gerald Rooney Memorial Chapel at 3:00 p.m., Rev. Erasmus Madimbu officiating. A private interment will be held at the Elmsdale United Church Cemetary at a later date. 

 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation or to the Palliative Care Unit of the Community Hospital, O'Leary.
