The death occurred suddenly at his home on May 2, 2026, of
Richard (Ricky) Edmond Gaudet, of Tignish, age 55 years. Beloved
husband to Lisa Mae Hackett Gaudet. Born at Charlottetown, March 16,
1971, he was the son of Betty (Ronnie) Pitre and the late Wayne
(Pauline) Perry. Rick spent a great part of his childhood with his
loving grandparents Edmond and Stella Gaudet.
Rick was happiest when he was at home with his wife, Lisa,
and his "boys" Jack and Beau. He was a loving parent to
Tyler McCue, and father-in-law to Kristin. Ricky’s proudest
role was that of "EeEe" to his grandson Mateo, and you could
feel it in the way he spoke of him. He was survived by his daughter,
Jocelyn.
Ricky also took immense pride in the business he built, with
Lisa by his side. A dedicated entrepreneur, Ricky poured his heart
into RPS. His employees meant the world to him, and he worked hard to
be not just a boss, but also a friend, going above and beyond to help
any one of them out when it was needed. He never took a client for
granted and treated every project like it was a personal
mission.
Loving brother to Sarah Lee (Dexter) Pitre, Andrea (Anthony)
Perry, Rochelle (Charles) Arsenault, Scott (Shanna) Perry, Mitchell
(Coralee) Perry, Joel (Tasha) Perry, David (Diane) Gaudet, Brenda
(late Martin) Doyle, Paula (Steve) Doyle, Emelda (Albert) Pitre, Barb
(Allen) Gaudet-Bernard, Claudette (Ed) LeClair, Bernadette (Jerome)
Arsenault, Joanne (Tony) Cummiskey.
Ricky is also survived by his many nieces, nephews (who
referred to him as "N’oncle"), friends and
family.
He was predeceased by his son Jake McCue, his father Wayne
Perry, grandparents, Stella and Edmond Gaudet, and special
grandfather, Willy Pitre. He was also predeceased by his mother and
father-in-law, Alfred and Freda Hackett, and brothers-in-law, Harold
and Eddie Hackett.
When you were around Ricky, laughter came easy, happiness was
real, and ordinary moments became unforgettable.
Ricky, you will be missed more than words can say, but you
will also be remembered… in laughter, in stories, in songs,
and in the way you showed up for all of us, every single
time.
Resting at Rooney Funeral Home and Chapel, Alberton, for
