The death occurred peacefully at the Palliative Care Unit of the Western Hospital, Alberton, with his loving family by his side, on Saturday, May 2, 2026, of Wayne Joseph Dunn, of Dock Road, Elmsdale, age 76 years. Born at Alberton on November 23, 1947, he was the son of the late Merrill Charles and Mina Darling (nee Phillips) Dunn.

Dear brother to Marie (Frank) Luttrell, of Roseville, Charles (Olive) Dunn of Elmsdale, and the late Beverley (late Harry) MacDonald, of Montague. Cherished uncle to Kelly (Paul) Walsh, of Summerside, Kory (Cindy) Dunn, of Dock Road, Elmsdale, and Wendy (Bruce) MacDonald, of Port Hawksbury, NS. Great uncle to Zachary Phillips, Cody Dunn, Conor Dunn, and Colton Dunn. Great great-uncle to Thomas Dunn. Wayne will be sadly missed by his many cousins, friends and acquaintances.

Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home and Chapel, Alberton. Visiting hours Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral mass on Wednesday afternoon, May 6th, from the Sacred Heart Church, Alberton, for funeral mass at 2:00 p.m., celebrated by his cousin, Rev. Eric Dunn. Interment in the church cemetery.

As an expression of sympathy memorials in Wayne's memory made to the Sacred Heart Cemetery Fund would be gratefully appreciated by the family.

A reception will be held following the funeral mass in the MacCarville room of the Sacred Heart Church, Alberton.
