The death occurred peacefully at her home on Friday, May 1, 2026, with her loving family and friends by her side, of Stephanie Katherine Gaudet, of Alberton, age 82 years. Beloved wife of the late Armand Andrew Gaudet. Born at Charlottetown on August 8,1943 she was the daughter of the late Ernest E.(Joe)and Frances C.(nee A'Hearn) Larter.

Loving mother to Katherine Gaudet (Allan Carwright) of Derby, Conn. USA, and Andrew Gaudet (Sue Englehart), of Moncton, NB. Cherished grandmother to Cassidy (Owen Bennett), Josie Gaudet, and Jaycob Gaudet.

Dear sister to Frances Tremblay, of Alberton, Mary Melynchuk, of Saskatoon, SK, and  Robbie Larter (Rachael Roy), of Charlottetown. Also survived by by her brother-in-law, John Weeks, of Alberton, and by her sister-in-law, Cynthia Larter, of Cascumpec. Stephanie will be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, friends, and acquaintances, especially her dear friends, Joyce Matthews and Lynda Leard.

She was predeceased by her siblings, Norman, Mike, Peter, Linda, and Ann Weeks. She was also predeceased by her brothers and sisters-in-law, Sonny Tremblay, Adam Melynchuk, and Ellen Larter.

Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home and Chapel, Alberton. Visiting hours Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Funeral Wednesday May 6, 2026, from the Sacred Heart Church, Alberton, for funeral mass at 11:00 a.m., Rev. Roland, celebrant. Interment later in St. Anthony's Church Cemetery, Woodstock, PEI.

A reception will follow the service in the MacCarville Room at the Sacred Heart Church, Alberton.
