The death occurred peacefully at the Palliative Care Unit of the Community Hospital, O'Leary, on Saturday, January 4, 2025, of Hercules (Herk) Gaudet, of 33 Bayfield Street, Cascumpec, aged 79 years. Born at Tignish Shore on January 6, 1945, he was the son of the late Edmund J and Alice M (nee Gallant) Gaudet. Beloved husband of Irma Mary (nee LeClair) Gaudet. 

Dear father Karl (Joanne) of Tottenham Ontario, Tammy (Scott Taylor) of Arthur, ON, and Troy (Mary Beth) of Cascumpec. Cherished grandfather to Alexandria and Edmund Gaudet, Katrina, Connor, and Valerie Taylor, Devin, Emily, Madison, and Christina Gaudet. Dear brother to David (Evelyn) Gaudet, Tignish Shore, and Terry (Elaine) Gaudet, St. Felix.  Herk will be sadly missed by his many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and friends. Predeceased by sister, Stella LeClair, and brother, Gerard Gaudet.

Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home and Chapel. Visiting hours Wednesday, January 8th from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral service Thursday morning from St. Simon and St. Jude Church, Tignish, PEI, beginning at 10:30 a.m., Rev Tim Broderick officiating. Interment later in the church cemetery.
