The death occurred at the Palliative Care Unit, Community Hospital, O'Leary, on Saturday, December 28, 2024, of Elizabeth Ann (Betty) (nee Gallant) Ellsworth, following a brief illness. Born at Alberton, January 4, 1952, she was the daughter of the late John Peter  and Marcia Veronica Gallant, of Piusville.

Beloved wife of Roy Ellsworth, and cherished mother of Tammy (Stephen) Murphy, and Troy (Tanya) Ellsworth. Loving grandmother to Avery Arsenault and Connor Ellsworth, and step-granddaughter, Lake Murphy. Great niece to Alyssa Thordarson. Survived by her siblings, Pauline (Charles) Stewart, Marlene McCormick, and Terry (Laura) Gallant. She is also survived by her numerous nieces and nephews. 

Predeceased by her parents, John P. and Marcia Gallant, her father and mother-in-law, Leroy (Elizabeth) Ellsworth, step-father, Louis Gaudet, and brothers-in-law, Albert Gallant, and Everett McCormick.

Cremation has been entrusted to the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton. No visitation or funeral by personal request. A graveside interment to be held at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Palmer Road, at a later date and time. By invitation only.
