The death occurred peacefully, at the Palliative Care Unit of the Community Hospital, O'Leary, on Friday, September 6, 2024, of Helen Mae Delaney, of the Rev. WJ Phillips Residence, Alberton, and formerly of Brae, PEI, age 80 years. Born at Cascumpec, PEI, on June 14,1944, she was the daughter of the late Cecil and Isabel (Belle, nee Lewis) Gray.

Loving mother to Diane Delaney of Alberta, Michael Delaney of BC, and Donna (Trevor) Livingstone of West Point. Dear grandmother to Christopher (Cheryl) Phillips, Kristin (Mitchell) Phillips, Jeremy (Kate) Phillips, Bruce (Jill) Perry, and Caleb Livingstone. Great-grandmother to Colin, Isla, Kiera, Hanna, Carson, Aiden, and Dante. She is survived by her sisters, Audrey (Jim) MacFarlane of O'Leary, and Betty (Donald) Robinson of Coleman. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, James (Buddy) Delaney, and by siblings, Linda, Peggy, Walter, Adney, Leslie and by a brother, Leslie (in infancy). Also predeceased by daughters, Darlene and Tammy.

Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home and Chapel, Alberton. By personal request there will be no public visitation of funeral.
