Michael FLOYD Handrahan, of Alberton, age 66, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his wife and daughters, on Friday, September 6, 2024, at the ICU of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown. Born July 4, 1958, he was the son of the late Alfred and Emily (nee MacKinnon) Handrahan. Beloved husband to Pamela Joy (nee Butler) Handrahan, and cherished father to Robyn (Josh) Waite, Amy (Mitchell) Kinch, Amber (Tony) Bernard, and Megan (Mitchel) Perry, and ex-son-in-law, Bradley DesRoche.

Cherished grandfather to Benjamin, Alex, and Emily DesRoche, Elizabeth Waite, Mardi-Jay, and Foster Kinch, and Louie Bernard. Dear brother to Roy, Patrick, Hughie (Vicky), Alfred (Theresa), and sisters, Erma, Eileen (Bradley), Bonnie (Barry), Mary (Elmer), and sister-in-law, Cindy. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. 

Besides his parents Alfred and Emily Handrahan, he was predeceased by siblings, Austin, Stephen, Eleanor, and brothers and sisters-in-law, Edgar Brennan, Richard Fleming, Irene Handrahan, and Theresa Handrahan.

Floyd and family would like to express their deepest appreciation to their family, friends, church family, spiritual care at the QEH, and all those who uplifted them in prayer in this difficult time.

Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home and Chapel, Alberton, for visiting hours Monday, 4-7pm. Funeral Tuesday morning from the Elmsdale Church of the Nazarene, for service at 10:30am, Pastor Betty Zita officiating. Interment in the Church of the Nazarene Cemetery.
