The death occurred suddenly on August 19, 2024, of Edward Joseph Bernard, of Tignish, PEI. Born on May 3, 1945, he was the son of Gerard Bernard and Eva (Doucette) Bernard. He will be sadly missed by his adoring wife, Sheila (nee LeClair), his sons, Junior (Melissa), and Randy (Debbie).

Cherished by his grandchildren Hadley (Jeff), Brighton (Paddy), Lukas, Tristan, and Rylee, as well as his great-grandchildren Bodhi and Koa. He is also survived by his loving sister, Hazel (Ed), brother, Eugene (Anne). Also mourning are his sisters-in-law, Beverly, Linda, Agnes (Warren), brothers-in-law, Blair (Julia), Joey (Donna), and his many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, younger brothers, Francis and Terry, and younger sister, Darlene. 

Visitation at the Rooney Funeral Home and Chapel, Alberton, on Wednesday, August 21st from 6-9pm. Funeral will be held on Thursday, August 22nd, at St. Simon and St. Jude Roman Catholic Church, Tignish, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m., with Rev. Tim Broderick celebrant.
