Following a
brief illness, the death occurred peacefully on Tuesday, August 20,
2024, surrounded by his loving family, of Bernard John
Gallant, of Miminegash, age 86 years, at the Palliative Care Unit of
Community Hospital, O'Leary. Predeceased by his wife, Lorraine Mary
(nee Brown) Gallant. Born on May 29, 1938, he was the son of the late
John Thomas and Mary Ann (nee Gallant)
Gallant.
Loving father to Wade
(Colleen) of St. Lawrence, Laura Lee (Murray) Perry of St. Felix, and
Marlene (Peter) Murphy of St. Lawrence. Cherished grandfather
to Mitch
(Emily) and Jake. Cherished Papa to Christopher (Brandi),
Ryan (Heidi), Sarah, and Connor
(Erin). Cherished grandfather to Jenn (Chad), Katie (Nathan), and
Paige. Great-grandfather to Gage, Zachary, Rafe, Jackson, Kylee,
Karlee, and Ariella.
Caring brother to Reggie (Irene, deceased), Louis
(deceased), his wife Rita, Jackie (deceased), his wife Miriam, Peter
(deceased), Mabel (Willie) (both deceased), Elizabeth (deceased), Mary
(deceased), Bertha (Gerald) Murphy, Alyre (Elsie) Gallant, Ellen
(Wayne) Hayward, Wayne (deceased), his wife Lou Anne, Geraldine
Gallant (Bev), Benny Gallant, Anne Love, Gerald
Gallant (Christine),
Eileen (Blair) Kinch, Kenny (Valerie) Gallant. He will be sadly missed
by his many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Resting at Rooney Funeral Home and Chapel, Alberton, for
visiting hours Thursday evening, 6-9pm. Funeral Friday
afternoon, at the
Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Road, for funeral mass at 4pm.
Time and date of burial will be determined at a later
date.
