The death occurred at the Western Hospital, Alberton, on Friday, July 19, 2024, of Albert Joseph (Al) Gallant of Parkview Ave., O'Leary, aged 85 years. Born in Piusville, PEI on June 4, 1939, he was the son of the late Frederick and Helen (nee LeBlanc) Gallant.

He is survivied by his siblings, Wendell (Cathy) Gallant of Coleman, Kenneth (late Ellen) Gallant of O'Leary, and Lawrence (Pia) Gallant of Toronto. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, and by his many friends and acquaintances. He was predeceased bya daughter Dolly and by siblings, Marilyn Killam, Beatrice Blanchard, and Frederick Gallant. 

Resting at the  Rooney Funeral Home & Chapel, Alberton. Visiting hours Wednesday, July 24th, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral on Thursday morning from St. Anthony's Church, Woodstock, PEI, for funeral mass at 10:30 am., Rev. Walter Flynn, celebrant. Interment in St. Anthony's Cemetery.
