Seifert passed away peacefully on Sunday evening, May 26, 2024. He spent his last hours in the company of his children, his sister Verna, brother-in-law Raigh, and his dear friend Bert Wilcox. He can now go to rest with his lifelong partner and beautiful wife Dee Dee (Lillian O'Donnell).

Seifert, "Bud" to most who knew him, led a long and meaningful life, where he and Dee Dee spent most of it as stalwart members of the community of St. Eleanor's. Seifert dedicated his life to his extended family and raised five children. Seifert was also faithfully committed to his community wok and participation through the St. Eleanor's Lion's Club, and to his friend and employer, D.R. Morrison, with whom Seifert spent his entire working career, as did his father before him, and D.R.'s father before him, a truly generational Island relationship.

Seifert is survived by his five children, Dale, Janet, Erroll, Melanie, Marilynne, and also by his sister Verna (Raigh) Callbeck, grandchildren Michael, Justin, Alex, Daniel, Mark, Grant, Nicole, Hannah, Lila, and great-granddaughter, Nyah. Seifert was sadly predeceased by his parents Ralph and Mathilda (nee Jeffery) Rayner, sister Norrma (Late Jack)Lawson, granddaughter Sara and great-granddaughter Taliyah.

We all wish Seifert a peaceful and restful afterlife. He was a man who stood out in his community and will be remembered as a man with work-weathered hands, the smile of a Hollywood legend, and a heart of gold.

Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home and Chapel, Alberton, for visitation Friday 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Funeral Saturday from the E. Gerald Rooney Memorial Chapel at 11:00 a.m., Rev Ned Henthorn officiating. A private family service to follow at St. Peter's Anglican Church cemetery.

If so desired memorials to the Cancer Society or to St. Peter's Anglican Church Memorial Fund would be gratefully appreciated.

The Funeral Service will be lived stream on the Rooney Funeral Home facebook Page starting at 11:00 a.m.
