Well done good and faithful servant. Matt 25:23. Born on September 16, 1933.

The heavenly choirs now sing sweeter - Arlean Gallant, our treasured mother, our family's pillar of faith, strength and love, was called home on December 6, 2023. In her 90 years, this amazing woman has been a shining example of how to live each day - a prayer, a positive attitude, a song, and a game of cribbage.

Honoured with the Queens Golden Jubilee Medal in 2002 for community service, it was her exceptionally capable nature, her willingness to contribute wherever she could, and her openness to trying something new, that made her such a jewel. She was and always will be our 'Queen Arlean'.

Her legacy lives on through us, her children, Karen Gallant (Karl), Tignish, Shane Gallant (Bev), Edmonton, Kerry Gallant (Linda), Hubley, Helen LeClair (Jim) Tignish, Paula Gallant (Kevin), Ottawa, Donna Kamermans (Pat), Dartmouth, Peter Gallant (Dawn), Mississauga, and Rodney Gallant (Amy), Tignish.

Her grandchildren, Kris, Jenn, Shane Jr, Tim, Josh, Andrew, Nathan, Stephanie, Jill, Jess, Luke, Sarah, Brad, Ross, Matt, Ben, Jacqueline, Olivia, Cole, and Bree, will so deeply miss their 'Grammie G', as will her 15 great-grandchildren.

Arlean's passing will also be grieved by her brothers-in-law, Ben Bernard, of Tignish, (late Marie and Mary), and Allan MacLellan, of Toronto (late Mary-Jo), and by countless nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbours.

She is predeceased by her husband Mark, sons John and Conrad, and all of her siblings. We are certain of a joyful reunion on the other side - the circle is unbroken.

For seven years Mom flourished at her "HOME ❤️" at the Tignish Seniors Home, which is a very special place indeed. For the care, kindness, community, joy and laughter that she found there, our family is so very thankful. Angels really do walk among us.

While Mom's stay at Maplewood Manor was brief, she made a lasting impression on the residents and staff.

Mom will be resting at Rooney's Funeral Home, Alberton. Visiting hours Thursday, 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral service from St. Simon and St. Jude Church, Tignish, at 10:30 a.m., Rev. John Molina, celebrant. Interment in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations made to St. Simon and St. Jude Church, or the Long Term Care Wing at the Tignish Seniors Home would be gratefully appreciated by the family.

The Tignish Council of the CWL will hold a prayer vigil for their departed member at the funeral home on Thursday evening at 6:30 p.m.

15-two, 15-four, 15-six and the rest don't mix. Oh wait! One for a good Jack - that's seven. We'll finish this game in heaven.
