The death occurred at Maplewood Manor, Alberton, with her loving family by her side, on Monday, December 4, 2023, of Beverley June MacAusland, of Alberton, age 85. Born in Charlottetown on June 13, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Vernon James and Lena Elmira (nee Smith) MacInnis, of Charlottetown.

Loving mother to Jeanetta (Alan) Smallman, of Calgary, Janet (Albert) Bernard, of Charlottetown, Elsie (late Brian) Arthur, of Cascumpec, Connie (Norman) Gaudette, of St. Felix, Donald (Becca), of Lorne Valley, PEI, Denice MacAusland, of Bloomfield, Kyle (Connie), of Woodstock, and Natasha (deceased).

Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Chris, Roxanne, Tanya, Michelle, Katie, Anthony, Sabrina, Derek, Steve, Courtney, Cody, Nicholas, Dustin, Alex, Letichia, Chance, Charlie, Amanda, Ty, and Blake. She is also survived by a number of great-grandchildren. Dear sister to Billy MacInnis (deceased), Fred MacInnis (deceased), Walter MacInnis (deceased), Shirley Lynch (deceased), Phillip MacInnis (deceased), Barbara Wheeler, of Massachusetts, Gail Korsman, of MA, Donnie MacInnis (deceased), Wayne MacInnis (deceased), Robert MacPhee, Charlottetown, Patsy McDonald, Cornwall, Jimmy MacInnis (deceased), Charlottetown, Norman MacInnis, Charlottetown, Susan Aylward, NB, Mary Lou Storey, Charlottetown, and George MacInnis, Charlottetown.

She was predeceased by grandchildren, Darcy and Dale (in infancy). She was predeceased by her first husband, Robert Murray MacAusland, her second husband, Basil Joseph Chaisson, and her sisters-in-law, Betty (late Roy) Haywood and Genevieve MacDonald. 

Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home and Chapel, Alberton, for visitation from Wednesday, 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral Thursday afternoon from the E. Gerald Rooney Memorial Chapel at 2:00 p.m., Rev. Ross Morrison officiating. Interment at a later date and time, in the Bloomfield United Church Cemetery.

As an expression of sympathy, memorials in memory of Bev's special daughter, Natasha, may be made to the PEI Special Olympics, or to the Tignish Seniors Co-Op Home.
