The death occurred peacefully, at the home of his son and daughter-in-law in Knutsford, on Sunday, November 19, 2023, of James Walter (Jimmy) MacWilliam, formerly of Springfield West, age 84 years. Beloved husband to Margaret E. (Margie,  nee Rix) MacWilliam. Born at O'Leary, on March 29, 1939, he was the son of the late Horatio and Myrtle (nee Smith) MacWilliam.

Cherished father to Michael (Heather) MacWilliam, of Springfield West, Janet (Blair) Hardy, of Fortune Cove, Claretta (Allan) Ellis, of Charlottetown, Betty (Kenny) Gallant, of Howlan, Scott (Tanya) MacWilliam, of Knutsford, and Crystal (Dwayne) Costain, of St. Lawrence. Dear brother to Verna (William) Mackinnon, of Summerside, and Claretta (Gerald) MacIssac, of Heborn. He will be sadly missed by his 21 grandchildren and by his 25 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters and brothers-in-law, Barbara and Frank Sweet, of Knutsford, Alma Rix, of West Point, Orell Smallman, of Knutsford, and Ellis Smallman, of Alma.

He was predeceased by his Grandson son Craig Hardy, and by brothers, Ray, Stewart, and Brad in infancy.

Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home and Chapel where private family visitation will be held. No formal visitation or funeral services by personal request.

As an expression of sympathy, memorials in James' memory made to the Friends of Bethel United Church will be gratefully appreciated by the family.
