The death occurred the Palliative Care Unit of the Western Hospital, Alberton, on Sunday, November 5, 2023, with his loving family by his side, of Gary Joseph Doucette, of O'Rourke Road, Greenmount, age 65 years. Born at Alberton on August 9, 1958, he was the son of the late Frankie J. and Emily M. (nee Gallant) Doucette.

Loving father to Carley Jo Doucette, of Cranbrook, BC, and Jesse Doucette, of Penticton, BC. Lovingly remembered by his siblings, Donnie (Marina), of Nail Pond, Debra Doucette, of Tignish, Marie Doucette, of Dartmouth, NS, Robert (Darlene), of Christophers Cross, Rose Doucette, of Tignish, Angie Sanders, of Nail Pond, Helen (Bill) Byrne, of Palmer Road, Connie (Michael) McInnis, of Tignish, Francis Doucette, of Nail Pond, and Judy Doucette (Jim Power), of Tignish. He will be sadly missed by his nieces and nephews, Jules Doucette, Tanya Doucette, Dereck Chaisson (deceased), Michael Doucette, Alex Doucette, Daniel Doucette, Jill MacWilliams, Jamie Handrahan, Lela Sanders, Adrian Sanders, Emma Byrne, Sam Byrne, Rebecca Byrne, Rory Brown, Jayden, McInnis, and Alicia Elber. He will also be missed by his great-nieces and great-nephews, Denny Gallant, Hattie MacWilliams, Zander Oakie, Natalie Doucette, Lewis Doucette, Jada Doucette, Tori Doucette, Melody Doucette, and Marty Doucette,

Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home and Chapel, Alberton for visitation Thursday 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Friday morning from St.Simon and St.Jude Church Tignish for funeral mass at 10;30 a.m. Rev.John Molina celebrant. Interment in the church cemetery.
