The death occurred peacefully, at the Maplewood Manor, Alberton, on Monday, October 30, 2023, with her loving family by her side, of Norma Mary Annie Hackett, formerly of North Cape PEI, age 83 years. Beloved wife of Albert Hackett. Born at Anglo-Tignish, on October 19, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Wesley and Melvina (nee Jones) Gallant.

Dear mother of Nicholas (Nancy), Arlene (Harley), Gordon (Cheryl), and Lois (late Herb) Perry. Lovingly remembered by her 11 grandchildren, Johnathan, Jeffery, Jacob, Jessica, Amy, Ally, Gina, Devin, Crystal, Shane, and Sabrina. She is also survived by her 11 great-grandchildren.

Dear sister to Joyce (Carver), Hackett, of Sea Cow Pond, Barbara Gallant, of Miscouche, Oswald, of Alberton, Christine (Don) Lapointe, of Bridgewater, NS, Edith (late Don) Gavin, of Anglo, Connie (late Roger) Boucher, of Lawrencetown, NS, and Sandra (Peter) Webb, of Amherst, NS. She was predeceased by sisters, Marjorie, and Andrea.

Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home and Chapel, Alberton. Visiting hours Wednesday, 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Thursday morning from St. Simon and St. Jude Church, Tignish for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m., Rev. John Molina, celebrant. Interment in the church cemetery.
