Frank Gerry Bince, of Fortune Cove, PEI, age 77, passed away
peacefully at Prince County Hospital, on September 29,
2023.
Frank, fondly known as
"Cranky Franky", was born to parents, Gus and Eileen, on
August 22, 1946, in Queensville, Ontario. Frank's career started at
Johnson Controls, and later moved on to the Toronto School Board,
where he and his late wife, Linda, raised their family. In 2011 Frank
moved to PEI, and in 2012 married Val, where they started their next
chapter in life. Frank loved a good card game, the ocean, and sailing
slowly through the Cascumpec Bay on his boat, "The Little
One". Frank loved listening to good jokes, handing out
a few himself. He was always up for adventures, and exploring the
trails of the Maritimes, with Val and their friends on their
side-by-sides. Frank was the king of hospitality, with endless food
and entertainment. He was a proud Christian, with a strong faith in
God. Frank enjoyed attending his daily visits to the Alberton Bakery,
where he met up with wonderful friends, who he thought a lot of. Frank
had a way to make friends like no other, and if you were within his
circle, you were considered pretty lucky. Frank had the biggest heart,
who touched many.
Frank was the
loving husband to Velma, father to Shantel (Amin Komeili) Bince,
Shawnna (Howard) Brice, and Stacey (Adam Kirk) Bince, stepfather to
Heidi Mallett, Michelle (Scott) Gamble, and Travis (Vanessa) Mallett,
and wonderful Pepe to Max, Maggie, Paige, Brooke, Maddie, and Luke,
and Papa to Mackenzie, Seamus, Mavric, and Maguire, who he was very
proud of.
Frank was a loving brother to Jim Bince. Frank also leaves
behind his loving niece and nephew, Ryan (Sarah) Bince, and Lisa
(Matt) Higgins, and their families.
Predeceased by his first wife, Linda, parents, Gus and Eileen,
and sister-in-law, Karen Bince.
The family
would like to follow Frank's legacy by always helping others
out.
