The death occurred at the Palliative Care Unit of the Western Hospital, Alberton, on Tuesday. September 19, 2023, with his family by his side, of Clair Reginald Oliver, of Huntley, PEI, age 87 years. Born on March 2, 1936, he was the son of the late John and Charlotte (nee Matthews) Oliver.

Dear father to Tom (Darlene), of Huntley, Clarke (Maxine), of Huntley, and Henry (Kerri), of Cascumpec. He will be sadly missed by his 15 grandchildren and by his nine great-grandchildren. Dear brother to Wendell (late Janice) Oliver, of Alberton, Shirley (late Byron) Bowness, of Alberton, and Trude (Joseph) Dolphin of Emyvale. He is also survived by his aunt, Pearl Bell, of Maplewood Manor, Alberton.

He was predeceased by daughters, Evelyn in infancy, and Connie (late Paul) Wilkie, and by a brother, Edgar Oliver.

Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home and Chapel, Alberton for visitation Friday evening from 6:30 to 8;30 p.m. Funeral Saturday afternoon from the E. Gerald Rooney Memorial Chapel, for funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Rev Tara Ann Gourson officiating. Interment later in the Elmsdale Church of the Nazarene Cemetery. 

As an expression of sympathy, memorials to the Palliative Care Unit of the Western Hospital or to the Salvation Army will be gratefully appreciated.
