The death occurred peacefully, at her home, on Monday, September 11, 2023, with her loving family by her side, of Annie Mary Pitre, beloved wife of Hector J. Pitre, of Tignish Shore, age 79 years. Born on June 30, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Frank J. and Frances M. (nee Gerrior) Richard.

Loving mother to Carolyn (Clayton) Shea, of Alberta, and Michelle (Jamie) Perry, of Tignish. Dear stepmother to Terry (Elaine ) Gaudet, of Tignish, and Richard Bernard, of Fort St. John. Loving grandmother to Jonathan (Megan) Shea, of Alberta, Jamielee (Aiden) Gaudet, of Charlottetown, Felisha Perry, of Vancouver, BC, and special family member, Jamie Chaisson. She will be missed by her special fur babies, Sweet Pea, Roxy, Storm, Ace, Gary, Simba, and Ralphie.

She is also survived by siblings, Anne Marie Gallant, Frankie (Elsie) Richard, of St. Louis, and Ian Richard, of Charlottetown. She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her siblings, Annette, Melvin, Frances, Florence, Anita, Edward, Reta, and Alcide.

Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home and Chapel, Alberton. No visiting hours or funeral by request. A graveside service for family and friends will take place on Friday evening at 6:00 p.m., at St. Simon and St. Jude Cemetery, Tignish, with Rev. John Molina officiating.
