The death occurred peacefully, at the Margaret Stewart Ellis Home, O'Leary, on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, with his loving family by his side, of Muncey Joseph Benjamin Clements, formerly of Roseville, age 80 years. Born at Roseville, on November 9, 1942, he was the son of the late Benjamin and Olive (nee Jones) Clements. He is survived by his wife Mary Ellen (nee Ellsworth) Clements.

Loving father to Ellen Clements (Don MacNeill) of Stanhope, Sandra (Ricky) Jones, of Bloomfield, Eric Clements (Bev Shaw), of Fortune Cove, David (Gwen) Clements, of Bloomfield, Laura-Lee (Sandy) Shea, of Skinners Pond, and Crystal (Mark) Sweeney, of Bedford, NS. Dear grandfather to Joel, Lacey, Fallon, Andy, Kristen, Joshua, Isaac, Dreenan, Nathan and Ryin. He is also survived by his eight great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his siblings, Betty Bernard, of  Brampton Ontario, Thelma (late Gregory) Donahue, of Roseville, Velma (Ronnie) Bulger, of Burton, Lot 7, John (Alta) Clements, of Burton, Lot 7, Annette (Jim) Veno, of Midland Ontario, Beverly (Earl) Gallant, of Roseville, and Brian (Jenny) Clements, of Alberton. He is also survived by sisters-in-law, Kathleen Clements, of Cape Wolf, and Jean Clements, of Campbellton. He will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was predeceased by brothers, Cecil, Clarence, and Roy.

Muncey was known as the jack of all trades and often had the last laugh with his amazing wit and comedic jokes. Muncey fished from the age of 13 with his dad, then eventually bought his own lobster fall gear out of Howard’s Cove, where he made most of his living. Married Mary Ellsworth, September 20, 1962, where they built their home in Roseville and raised six beautiful children.

Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home and Chapel, Alberton. Visiting hours Thursday, September 7, 2023, from 6-9pm. Funeral Friday from St. Mark's Church, Burton, Lot 7, for funeral mass at 4pm. Interment in the Church cemetery.

As an expression of sympathy, memorials to Addictions PEI or to St. Mark's Cemetery Fund would be gratefully appreciated.
