The death
occurred peacefully, at the Margaret Stewart Ellis Home, O'Leary, on
Tuesday, September 5, 2023, with his loving family by his side, of
Muncey Joseph Benjamin Clements, formerly of Roseville, age 80 years.
Born at Roseville, on November 9, 1942, he was the son of the late
Benjamin and Olive (nee Jones) Clements. He is survived by his wife
Mary Ellen (nee Ellsworth) Clements.
Loving father
to Ellen Clements (Don MacNeill) of Stanhope, Sandra (Ricky) Jones, of
Bloomfield, Eric Clements (Bev Shaw), of Fortune Cove, David (Gwen)
Clements, of Bloomfield, Laura-Lee (Sandy) Shea, of Skinners Pond, and
Crystal (Mark) Sweeney, of Bedford, NS. Dear grandfather to Joel,
Lacey, Fallon, Andy, Kristen, Joshua, Isaac, Dreenan, Nathan and Ryin.
He is also survived by his eight
great-grandchildren.
He is survived
by his siblings, Betty Bernard, of Brampton Ontario, Thelma
(late Gregory) Donahue, of Roseville, Velma (Ronnie) Bulger, of
Burton, Lot 7, John (Alta) Clements, of Burton, Lot 7, Annette (Jim)
Veno, of Midland Ontario, Beverly (Earl) Gallant, of Roseville, and
Brian (Jenny) Clements, of Alberton. He is also survived by
sisters-in-law, Kathleen Clements, of Cape Wolf, and Jean Clements, of
Campbellton. He will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews, and
friends.
He was
predeceased by brothers, Cecil, Clarence, and
Roy.
Muncey was
known as the jack of all trades and often had the last laugh with his
amazing wit and comedic jokes. Muncey fished from the age of 13 with
his dad, then eventually bought his own lobster fall gear out of
Howard’s Cove, where he made most of his living. Married
Mary Ellsworth, September 20, 1962, where they built their home in
Roseville and raised six beautiful
children.
Resting at the
Rooney Funeral Home and Chapel, Alberton. Visiting hours Thursday,
September 7, 2023, from 6-9pm. Funeral Friday from St. Mark's Church,
Burton, Lot 7, for funeral mass at 4pm. Interment in the Church
cemetery.
