The death occurred at the Western Hospital in Alberton, on August 1, 2023, of Dennis Joseph Powers. Born on January 28, 1961, he was the son of the late James and Audrey Powers. 

Dennis was a life long resident of Northport, where he worked in the fishing industry. He is survived by his sisters, Brenda (Wolfgang) Teuber, Phoenix, Az, Debbie (Gary) Inman, Northport, Jocelyn (Eric) Thorne, Saint John, NB, Olga (Sean) Fraser, Northport, and Rhonda Powers, Charlottetown, as well as many nieces and nephews and his loyal fur baby, Bella.

Dennis was predeceased by his parents and his brother Greg. 

The family would like to thank Dr. Hudson, and the nursing staff of Unit 2 and the Palliative Care Unit at Western for their wonderful and compassionate care of Dennis.

There will be no visitation by personal request, and a graveside service will be held on Saturday August 12,at 2:00 p.m. at the Sacred Heart Cemetery Alberton with Rev.Walter Flynn officiating.
