The death occurred peacefully, at the Palliative Care Unit of the Community Hospital, O'Leary, on Monday, April 17, 2023, with her loving family by her side, of Joan Lavina Perry, beloved wife of Clarence J. Perry of Nail Pond, PEI, age 76 years. Born at Tignish, PEI, on December 24, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Milton and Zita (nee Gavin) Keough.

Loving mother to Shawn (Marsha) Perry, Dale (Natalie) Perry, and Krista (Taylor) Gaudet. Cherished grandmother to Brittany (Tanner) Gallant, Michael Perry, Gracie Gaudet, Marcie Perry, Mya Gaudet, and Matthew Perry. Great-grandmother to Stella Gallant. Dear sister to Doris (Reg) Martin, Carrie (Munroe) White, Billy (Donna) Keough, Betty (Alphie) Perry, Janie (Junior) Wedge, Cletus (Deborah) Keough, Nancy (late James) Hunter, Brenda (Lennie) Gavin, and Tishs (Dave) Fitsgibbons. She is also survived by a sisters-in-law, Mary Keough and Marion (Charles) Bernard. Joan will be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was predeceased by her siblings, Myrtle Wedge, Marion Gaudette, and Gerald Keough.

Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home and Chapel, Alberton. Visiting hours Wednesday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral Thursday morning from St. Simon and St. Jude Church, Tignish, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m., Rev. John Molina, celebrant. Interment later to take place in the church cemetery.

As an expression of sympathy, memorials to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to the Community Hospital, O'Leary, Equipment Fund would be gratefully appreciated.

The Tignish Council of the C.W.L will have prayers for their departed member at the funeral home Wednesday evening at 6:45 p.m.
