The death occurred at the Palliative Care Unit of the Western Hospital, Alberton, on Saturday, March 25, 2023, with his loving family by his side, of David Lloyd Gordon (Deak), of Alberton, age 61 years. Born October 31, 1961, he was the son of the Alton R. and Martha A. (nee Dunbar) Gordon.

Loving father of Holly (Jeremy), of Alberton, and Mitchell, of Red Deer, AB. Cherished grandfather to Summer, Zackary, Skyler, Sawyer, and Elsie-Lynn. Dear brother of Eleanor (Gary) Rayner, of Delhi, ON, John Owen (Louise), of Moncton, Leigh, of Alberton, Jeanie (Randy) Noye, of Alberton, Glenda (Leigh) Oliver, of Alberton, Sandra, of Alberton, Paula (Darren) Brander, of Alberton, Troy (Melanie), of Alberton, Tracy (Darren) MacNaught, of Summerside, and Corey (Wendy), of Alberton. He will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and acquaintances.

He was predeceased by brothers, Jamie, Scott, and Kenny.

David served as Mayor of Alberton from 2018 to the present and was the proprietor of Gordons Bus Tours.

Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home and Chapel, Alberton. Visiting hours Wednesday, March 29th, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Thursday afternoon, from the E. Gerald Rooney Memorial Chapel, at 2:00 p.m., Pastor Sheila McCrea-MacCallum officiating. Interment later in the Montrose United Church Cemetery.
