The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, of Patrick Oswald Callaghan, of Tignish, age 83 years. Beloved husband to Florence Reta (nee Richard) Callaghan, and loving father to Marilyn, and father-in-law to Enrique. Born at Miminegash, PEI, on November 23, 1939, he was the son of the late Patrick J. and E. Isabel (nee McCarthy) Callaghan.

He is survived by his siblings, Maxwell (Sheila), Louis (Judy), Joyce McIver, and Eloise (Aubrey) MacDonald. Pat was a brother-in-law and uncle to many in his large loving and extended family, with the Callaghan and Richard families.

He was predeceased by his son Patrick, and by siblings, Cecil, Harvey, Roy, Rosalie, Ralph, Philip, Helen, Lorne, and Marilyn.

Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home and Chapel, Alberton. Funeral mass on Wednesday March 22, 2023, from St. Simon and St. Jude Church, Tignish, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m., Rev. John Molina, celebrant. Interment later in the church cemetery. No vititation by personal request.
