The death occurred at the Palliative Care Unit of the Community Hospital, O'Leary, with his family by his side, on Monday, February 6, 2023, of James Albert Boyle, of Tignish, age 92 years. Beloved husband to Irene Laura (nee MacPhee) Boyle. Born at Tignish, on August 4, 1931, he was the son of the late Kier and Mary (nee Aylward) Boyle.

Dear father to Debbie Heartz, Charlottetown, Tony Boyle, Hunter River, Glenn (deceased 1985), Laurie Boyle, Mount Stewart, and Albert Boyle, of Tignish. Lovingly remembered  by his grandchildren, Ryan, Mitchell, Danielle, Jeffery, Jillian, Julie, Jordan, Riley, and Dalton, and by his fur buddy, Teddy. He is also survived by his sisters, Reta Boyle, and Freda Bazinette, both of London, ON.James will be sadly missed by his nieces,nephews, friends, and aquantences. He was predeceased by his siblings, Catherine Gaudet, Reginald, Mary, Geraldine, Howard, and Melvin.

Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home and Chapel, Alberton, for visitation on Wednesday, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Funeral mass on Thursday morning, February 9th, from St. Simon and St. Jude Church, Tignish, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m., Rev. John Molina, celebrant. Interment will later take place in the church cemetery.
