The death occurred peacefully, at the Maplewood Manor, Alberton, on Monday, December 19, 2022, with his loving family by his side, of Roger Joseph Chaisson, formerly of Tignish. age 76 years. Beloved husband to Ruth Ann (nee Gallant) Chaisson. Born on October 30, 1946, he was the son of the late Eutrope Joseph and Olive Mary (nee Perry) Chaisson.

Loving father to Daphine (Dustin) Hackett, of Greenmount, and Duane (Joanne) Chaisson, of Fairview. Dear grandfather to Jack, Luke, Noah, and Kelsey (Kyle) MacKenzie, of Montague, and Jordan (Braelyn) Chaisson, of Long Creek. Great-grandfather to Myla, Billie, and Ellie. Dear brother to Nelson (Marie) Chaisson, of Nail Pond, and Eunice (LeRoy) Gaudet, of Pleasant View. He is also survived by brothers and sisters-in-law, Eric (Patsy) Gallant, of Mississauga Ont. Ernest (Eileen) Gallant, of Anglo-Tignish, Sylvia (Gerard) Ellsworth, of Palmer Road, and Pauline Laughlin, of Palmer Road.

He was predeceased by siblings, Lawrence, Jerome, and Delores (late Ronnie) Perry.

Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home and Chapel, Alberton, for visitation Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral mass on Wednesday morning from St. Simon and St. Jude Church, Tignish, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m., Rev. Greg Conway, Celebrant. Interment will take place in the church cemetery.
