The death occurred at the Palliative Care Unit of Community Hospital, O'Leary, PE, with his loving family by his side, on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, of Gerald Thomas Gaudet, of Tignish, age 88 years. Beloved husband of the late Vida Mary (nee Bernard) Gaudet. Born at Nail Pond, PEI, on July 12, 1934, he was the son of the late Thomas and Theresa (nee Doucette) Gaudet.

Dear father of Gary (Jenny) Gaudet, of Alberta, Julia (Armand) Martin, of St. Peter and St. Paul, Darlene (Victor) Doucette, of Harper Road, Donnie Gaudet, of Miscouche, Gordon (Josie) Gaudet, of Palmer Road, Bev Arsenault, of Miscouche, Grant Gaudet, of Ontario, Omer (Victoria) Gaudet, of Kelowna, BC, and Cory (Maria) Gaudet, of St. Albert, AB. He will be sadly missed by his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Evelyn Arsenault and Lucy Doucette, both of Tignish. 

He was predeceased by his son, Cecil, daughter, Geraldine, and by siblings, Adele, Anna, Eva, Alphonse, Joe, and Eric.

Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home and Chapel, Alberton. Visiting hours  Sunday evening, December 4th, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Monday morning, December 5th, from St. Simon and St. Jude Church, Tignish, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m., Rev. Greg Conway, Celebrant. Interment in the church cemetery.
