The death occurred at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown, on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, with his loving family by his side, of Joseph Cyril Doucette, of Nail Pond, PEI, age 73 years. Beloved husband of Joyce (Ellsworth-LeClair)Doucette. Born at St. Louis, PEI, on March 19, 1949, he was the son of the late Cyril and Mildred (nee Martin) Doucette.

Loving father to Joey (Tanya) of St. Louis, and Tony (Pam) of Kildare Capes. Stepfather to Brian (Tanya) LeClair, of Winsloe, Lynn Ann (Edward) Thibodeau, of Ascension, and Billy Joe Leclair (Angie Garnett), of Waterville, N.S. Loving Pepe to Mikey, Melody, Marty, Mckayla (Matthew), and Keisha (Marshall). Loving Old Pepe to Malayna, and Morgan. Step-Pepe to Kassey (Andrew), Riley, Bailey, Heidi, and Ira. Step-great-granddaughter to Anna.  Dear brother Arthur (Anna), of St. Louis, Victor (Darlene), of Harper Road, Lydia Myers, of Kensington, and Anne (Joe) Lynch, of Alberton. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law, Joan MacDougall, of Stratford, Barbara Gaudet, of Tignish, Betty (Allan) Bouchard, of Annandale, Linda (Patrick) Gavin, of St. Felix, and Eileen Ryan, of Charlottetown.

He was predeceased by parents, Mildred and Cyril Doucette. He was predeceased by siblings, Clovis (late Bernadette), Marie (late Alton) Carragher, Gussy, Henry, Ernest, Gerald, and Precella. He was also predeceased by his father and mother-in-law, Ira and Elsie Aylward, sister-in-law, Shirley Feehan, brothers-in-law, John Myers, Alton Carragher, and Joe Gaudet.

Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home and Chapel, Alberton, for visiting hours Sunday, November 13th, 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral mass on Monday morning, November 14th, from St. Simon and St. Jude Church, Tignish, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m., Rev. Greg Conway, celebrant. Interment to follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Palmer Road.
