The death occurred suddenly, at his home, on Saturday, October 29, 2022, of Vernon Gordon Champion, of Alberton, age 58 years. Born at Summerside, PEI, on August 6, 1964, he was the son of Annie Ethel (nee Bryanton) Champion and the late Gordon Harold Champion.

Dear brother to Norma (Everett) MacLeod, and Alan (Terry) Champion. Dear uncle to Jesse Champion, Benjamin (Vanessa) Champion, Eric MacLeod, and Kyle MacLeod. He will be sadly missed by his "adopted" family, Alex and Mindy Ramsay, their children, Axie (Jon, and stepdaughter, Lainy), and Damon, and Jake. Connie (late Jason) Ramsay, and their children, Kordell, Kaila (Bruce) Richard, and their children, Breeanna and Leah, Everett (Amelia) Powers, Marion (Brady) Clements, and their children, Debbie Jean, Dwight, and Daisy. Vernon will be missed by his aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and acquaintances.

Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home and Chapel, Alberton. No visitation by request. Funeral on Friday afternoon, November 4th, from the E. Gerald Rooney Memorial Chapel, for funeral service at 2:00 p.m., Rev. Erasmus Madimbu officiating. Interment in Hillcrest Cemetery, Alberton.
