The death occurred peacefully, at the Maplewood Manor, Alberton, September 20, 2022, of Mary Frances Bernard, formerly of Nail Pond, PEI, aged 73 years. Beloved wife of Leonard J. Bernard. Born at Alberton, on August 23, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Herman and Ethel (nee Gallant) Doyle.

Loving mother to Connie Coffin, of Saint John, NB, Michelle (Kevin) MacLeod, of Milo, PEI, Timmy (Candy) Bernard of Tignish, and Travis (deceased 2005). Cherished grandmother to Ryan MacLeod, Hailey Bernard, Josie Bernard, Ben Bernard, Alexander Coffin, and Lily Coffin. Great-grandmother to Daimen, and Abigail. Dear sister-in-law to: Roger and Marilyn Bernard, of Kensington, Dorothy and Clayton Keough, of Nail Pond, Charlie and Marion Bernard, of Nail Pond, Russell and Etta Bernard, of Nail Pond, Ralph and Linda Bernard, of Nail Pond, Doloris and Henry Gallant, of Nail Pond, Esther Bernard, of Alma, Jean Doyle, of Christophers Cross, and Stuart Ridler, of St. Eleanors. Frances will be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews, friends and acquaintances. 

Frances was predeceased by siblings, Gerarda Ridler, and Carl Doyle.

Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home and Chapel, Alberton. Visitation Thursday, September 22, 2022, 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Friday afternoon September 23, 2022, from St. Simon and St. Jude Church, Tignish,with funeral mass at 4:00 p.m., Rev. Greg Conway, Celebrant. Interment in the Church Cemetery.
