The death occurred at the Dr. George Dumont Hospital, Moncton, NB, on Sunday, June 26, 2022, of Lorne Joseph Gavin, of Tignish, age 73 years. Born on May 26, 1949, he was the son of the late Edward Joseph and Viola Mary (nee Hackett) Gavin.

Beloved husband to Lynda Ann (nee James) Gavin, and dear father to Jennifer (Jamie) Doucette, of Tignish, Sharon(John) Fjali,of Milton, Ontario, and Murray Gavin, of Acton, Ontario. Cherished grandfather to Jenna, Jayden, Wyatt and Kyle. Great-grandfather to Cassidy, Samuel, Paisley, and Shay Lynn. Dear brother to Lorraine (Norman) Pitre, of Tignish, and Debbie (Lynsin) Stuckless, of Rockwood, Ontario. Brother-in-law to Joseph Robert and Edith Gavin. Nephew to Helen Gavin and Raymond (Enid) Hackett.

He was predeceased by siblings, Mary Robert, Donnie Gavin, Glenn Gavin, and Elaine (late Tommy) Perry. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, and friends.

Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home and Chapel, Alberton. No visitation or funeral mass by personal request.
