It is with great sadness that the family of Lillian Sophia Wagner (nee Palmer), of Conway, PEI, announce her peaceful passing, at the Margaret Stewart Ellis Home, O'Leary, on Friday, May 27, 2022. Lill was born in Summerside, on May 10, 1941, to the late Guy and Myrtle (nee Walsh) Palmer. Loving wife to the late Kenneth Wagner, and the late Cecil (Pete) Wagner.
Cherished mother to Charles (Cathy), of Freeland, Robert, of Summerside, Sue (Norman) Gamble, of Conway, and Les, of Summerside. Lill and Ken raised 4 children, and after Ken's death in 1983, she married Pete in 1988, and they continued with a new generation, and helped to raise their grandkids and great-grandkids, until Pete's death in 2018. Lill was a fantastic mother/grandmother/great-grandmother, and took such joy in all of them, and was very happy to see the 5th generation of descendants in the last few years.
Lill's interests were many, but she enjoyed spending time with family, thrift shopping (for others usually), puzzles, gardening, and starting (and sometime finishing) various crafts. Although she was confined to a wheelchair the last few years, she took it in stride, and made the best of it, and enjoyed her time at the Margaret Stewart Ellis Home, making many friends of the residents and staff. Lill has lived a very full and generous life, a life well-lived.
Lill was a loving and proud Granny to Robbie Wagner, of Moncton, NB, Laura (Rodney) Gallant, of Wellington, Tammy (Mike) Kinch, of Summerside, Christopher Wagner, of Freeland, Lindsay Barlow (Stacey Murphy), of Poplar Grove, Crystal Wagner (Leo Kinch), of Bideford, Curtis Wagner (Amanda Coyle), of Ellerslie, Jesse Wagner (Emily Wheeler), of Summerside, Devin Wagner (Alysha), of Summerside, and Spencer Wagner, of Summerside. Great-grandmother to 16, and great-great grandmother to 2. Dear aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Lill is also survived by sister and brothers: Kathleen (Steve) Lawson, of Summerside, Fenton, of Conway, and Walter (Marlene), of NS. Lill is survived by brothers and sisters-in-law, Debbie Lynch, Audrey (John) Barlow, Jessie (Ken) Boyle, Patsy (Richard) Bulger, Gerald Wagner, Arnold Wagner, Lillian (Foster) Wagner, and Joan (Lester) Wagner.
She was predeceased by her parents, sisters, Arlene Lane, Dorothy Lawson, Linda Palmer, and by brothers, Erland, Lawrence, Wallace, Darrell, and George, in infancy.
No visitation or service by Lill's request. An interment ceremony for close family and friends will take place at a later date.
