The death occurred suddenly, at his home at North Cape P.E.I, on Friday, May 20, 2022, of Wayne Joseph Perry, of Sea Cow Pond, age 70 years. Beloved husband to Pauline Mary (nee Hackett) Perry. Born at Alberton, on February 24, 1952, he was the son of the late Aubin and Ada (nee Gillis) Perry of St. Felix.

Loving father to Rick (Lisa), of St. Felix, Scott (Shanna), of North Cape, Mitchell (Cora Lee), of Alberton, and Joel (Tasha),of Tignish. Cherished grandfather to Jocelyn, Bynne, Brooke, Emma, Abby, Kaleb, Quinn, Lyla, and Lucy. Dear brother to Sixtus (Shirley) Perry, of Slemon Park, Leo (Myrna) Perry, of St. Felix, Shirley Deagle, of Slemon Park, Aldona Doucette, of Nail Pond, Ronnie (Renora) of Gambo, NL, Murray (Laura Lee) Perry of St. Felix, and Wendy (Billy) Arsenault of Greenmount. He is also survived by brothers and sisters-in-law, Kenneth Hackett, of Tignish, Shirley Doyle (deceased) and John, of Sea Cow Pond, Janice (Robert) McHugh, of Sea Cow Pond, Norman (Arlene) Hackett, of Ascension, and Roy (Kelly) Hackett, of North Cape. He will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by siblings, Clarence, LeRoy, and Gloria Ann.

Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home and Chapel, Alberton. Visiting hours Thursday, 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., and on Friday, 2:00 p.m., until time of funeral. Funeral Friday from St. Simon and St. Jude Church, Tignish, for funeral mass at 4:00 p.m., Rev. Brendon Gallant, Celebrant. Interment to take place in the church cemetery.

As an expression of sympathy, memorials to the Tignish Health Centre would be gratefully appreciated.
