The death occurred peacefully, at the Palliative Care Unit of the Western Hospital, Alberton, on Monday, April 25, 2022, of Joseph Bernard (Neddie) Christopher, of 38 Josie Shang Road, Tignish, age 92 years. Born on March 19, 1930, he was the son of the late Irving and Rosetta (nee Kenny) Christopher.

Lovingly remembered by his brother, Danny (late Bernice) Christopher and dear uncle to Paulette and Ronnie Gaudet, with who he resided and special great-uncle to Christopher. He is survived by a sister Frances Keady and by his dear friend Myra Shea. Neddie will be dearly loved sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, that he loved so much.

He was predeceased by  his sister in law Bernice Christopher his great nephew Christopher Gaudet and by his siblings, Mary, Margaret, Jack, and Freda.

Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton Public visitation hours Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Thursday morning from St. Simon and St. Jude Church, Tignish, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m., Rev. John Molina, celebrant.

As an expression of sympathy, memorials to the Western Hospital, Alberton, would be gratefully appreciated by the family.

 

We the family of the late Neddie Christopher would like to take this time and opertunity to thank Dr. Al-Salih, Dr. Adnan Bajelan, the nurses, and staff of the Western Hospital, Alberton, for their excellent care and concern for Neddie during his stay there. Your kindness to him during his illness is gratefully appreciated and will never be forgotten. Thank you, Danny and family.
