The death occurred peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Monday, November 15, 2021, of Russell Alexander Shea, of Anglo Tignish, age 65 years. Loving husband of 45 years to Gail (nee Doucette). Born on February 28, 1956, he was the son of Wilson and Patricia (nee Knox) Shea from Anglo-Tignish.
 
Dear father to Sally (Scott) Harper, Kelly (Glen) Rayner, Sandy (Lauralee), Holly (Mark) Phillips and Shawn (Janice). Cherished Grampy to Allison, Jill and Ted Harper, Joel, Nicholas, Zack and Dylan Matthews and Levi Rayner,  Dreenan Shea, Casey and Sadie Phillips, Chelsey Hustler (Josh Coughlin), Payton and TJ Collins, Andie and Laurel Shea, and great-granddaughter, Brynley Coughlin.  
 
Dear brother to Wilson (Mary), Cletus (Arlene), Gertrude (Ken) Jones, Eileen (Ernest) Gallant, Richard (Elaine), Louis (Brenda), Leo (Theresa), Mary (Clarence) Gallant, Claude (Kim), Paul (Sharon), Telly (Bill) Aylward, Michael (Tammy), and Jackie (Robert) Allain. Brother-in-law to the late Alan (Verna) Doucette, Sonny Doucette, Cathy (late Bill) Gallien, Jackie (Judy) Doucette, and Glen (CarolAnn) Doucette. 
 
Russell was predeceased by his parents, Wilson and Pat (Knox) Shea, his mother and father-in-law, Roy and Elva (Perry) Doucette, Brothers-in-law Bill Gallien and Alan Doucette. He was also pre-deceased by nieces, Karen Shea and Cherie-Dawn Shea-Metcalfe, nephews, Michael Shea, Derek Shea and Matthew Gallant, great-nephew, Oliver Underhay and nephews, Ernest and Clarence Gallant in infancy. He will be missed by his many, many nieces, nephews and cousins. 
 
Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton. A public visitation on Friday, November 19th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A private funeral mass on Saturday morning from St. Simon and St. Jude Church at 10:30 am., Fr. Walter Flynn, celebrant. Interment in the Parish cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be gratefully accepted.
 
 
Proof of vaccination and ID are required to attend the visitation.
