The death occurred peacefully at the Palliative Care Unit of the Western Hospital, Alberton, on Sunday, July 25, 2021, of Shirley Anne (Wells) Smallman of Alberton, age 72 years. Born on February 24, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Ida (nee Barnett) Wells.

Loving mother to Charlene (Michael) Maxfield of Forestview and Blair Smallman of Forestview. Cherished grandmother to Creed Peters, Spencer (Destiny) Maxfield, and Emily Anne Maxfield. Dear sister to Arlene McKenna. She was predeceased by her parents, Art and Ida Wells, daughter Carolanne (Scott) Peters, brother Dale (in infancy) and by a brother-in-law, Eric Mckenna.

Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home and Chapel, Alberton, from where the private funeral service (for invited guests) will be held on Thursday, July 29, 2021, from the E. Gerald Rooney Memorial Chapel at 11:00 a.m., Rev. Dennis Hubert officiating. No visitation by request. Interment in the Elmsdale Church of the Nazarene cemetery.
