The death occurred at the Maplewood Manor, Alberton, on Tuesday, July 13, 2021, of Shirley Ann Marie Avery, beloved wife of the late Herbert Avery, formerly of Northport, age 83 years. Born at Newcastle, NB, on January 14, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Anne (nee Young) Regan.

Loving mother to Darlene Avery and Debora Avery, both of Toronto. Cherished grandmother to her grandchildren, Kelly, Dawn and Kyle, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She is survived by brothers, Ron (Doris) Regan of Miramichi, NB, and Fred (Joan) Regan of Cornwall, ON. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Phyllis Matthews and her husband Donnie, who provided Mom with such great care and attention during her stay at Maplewood Manor, and her sister-in-law, Wilma Campbell, and her husband, John Campbell, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Jimmy (Active Duty overseas) Arthur, George, Charles, Mary McCourty, Mary Katherine Whitty, Florence Matchatt, Marjorie Gaudet, Mary Margaret in infancy, Marjorie Elizabeth in infancy. 

Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home and Chapel, Alberton. Funeral on Thursday, July 22, 2021, from the Sacred Heart Church, Alberton, for funeral mass at 2:00 p.m., Rev. Brendon Gallant, Celebrant. Interment will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Alberton. Visitation Thursday from 12:30 p.m. until time of funeral mass.
