The death occurred at the Maplewood Manor, Alberton, on Friday, June 11, 2021, with her family by her side, of Wilma Donalda Hughes, beloved wife of Ronald E. Hughes of Brooklyn, PEI, age 85 years. Born at Georgetown, PEI, on March 19, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Dorothy (nee Lavers) Landry.

Lovingly remembered by her children, Dawn Marie (Donald) Hughes-Bissonnette of Ebenezer, PEI, Shawna (Karen) Hughes of Grand Tracadie, PEI, Carla (Campbell) Hamilton of Whitby, ON, and Wayne MacMillan of Ontario. Cherished grandmother to Cassandra, Campbell Jr., and Emily. Dear sister to Richard Landry of Georgetown, PEI, and Stephen Ward Landry of California.

She was predeceased by her siblings, Harold, Albert, Floyd and Lorraine.

Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home and Chapel, Alberton. A Celebration of Life service will be held from the E. Gerald Rooney Memorial Chapel, Alberton, on Saturday, August 21, 2021, at 2:00 p.m., Rev. Brendon Gallant officiating.
