The death occurred peacefully at the Palliative Care Unit of the Community Hospital, O'Leary, on Friday, January 8, 2021, with his loving family by his side, of Herbert John Darrell Perry of Tignish Shore, aged 62 years. Beloved husband to Lois Marie (nee Hackett) Perry. Born at Alberton on July 24, 1958, he was the son of the late John W. and Irma Mary (nee Harper) Perry.

Loving father to Johnathan (Nicole), Jeffery (Jade), and Jacob (Kale). Cherished grandfather to Declan, Madelyn, and Makenzie. Dear brother to Holly (Joe) Gallant, Harley (Arlene), Hal (Brenda), Hilary, Heidi and Harris. He will also be sadly missed by his fur buddies, Daisy and Dixie.

Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home and Chapel, Alberton, for private visitation for family and invited guests on Sunday from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. A private funeral for family and invited guests only will be held on Monday afternoon from the St. Simon and St. Jude Church, Tignish, for funeral mass at 2:00 p.m., Rev. John Molina Celebrant. Interment later in the church cemetery.
