The death occurred at the Maplewood Manor, Alberton, on Saturday, September 5, 2020, of Brenda Olive Wedge, beloved wife of Oswald T. Wedge, formerly of Brockton, PEI, age 77 years. Born at Miminegash, PEI, on October 14, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Pear (nee Cannon) Costain.

Loving mother to Beverley (late Wilbert) Meggison of Alberton. Dear grandmother to Curtis (Daniel) Meggison-Strongman, Charlottetown, Josh (Janelle) Meggison of Alberton, great-grandmother to Zachary and Paisley Meggison. She is survived by her siblings, Hedley (Marcella) Costain, of Alberton Gary (Bernice) Costain of Miminegash, Darris Costain of Miminegash, Lucina (Joe) Hogan of Alberton. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters-in-law, Aubrey (Phyllis) Wedge of Charlottetown, Noelle Costain of Moncton, NB, Priscilla Costain of Alberton, Dianne Costain of Kamloops, BC, Eula Costain of Summerside, Betty Sheppard of Charlottetown, and Sybil Wedge of St. Louis. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was predeceased by her son Miles Rodney, on August 15, 2020, son-in-law, Wilbert Meggison, siblings, Emmerson (Ada), Bud (Frances), Jarvis, Tommy, Major, Nelder, Vernon, Darrell, Aletha (late Hal) Nordstrom, Velda (late Vincent) Ellsworth, Goldie (late Raymond) Brennan, and by her father and mother-in-law, Thomas and Theresa (Teed) Wedge.

Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home and Chapel, Alberton. Due to the Covid 19 restrictions private visitation family and invited guest Sunday evening 7 to 9 p.m.

Private funeral Monday afternoon from the E. Gerald Rooney Memorial Chapel at 2:00 p.m. Pastors Michael and Betty Zita and Pastor Sheila McCrea-MacCallum officiating. Interment in the Church of the Nazarene Cemetery, Elmsdale.

As as expression of sympathy memorials to the ALS Society would be gratefully appreciated.
