At the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Sunday, May 3, 2015, with his loving  family by his side, of Charles Albert Harper, of Tignish, age 78 years, following a courageous battle with cancer. Beloved husband to Anne Marie (nee McAduff) Harper. Born at Tignish, P.E.I., on October 3, 1937, he was the son of the late Howard and Brenetta (nee McIntyre) Harper.

Cherished father to James (Sheila Gaudet) of St. John, N.B., and Todd (Chantelle Milligan) of Tignish. Loving grandfather to: Ryan Harper, Kathleen Harper and Braedon Milligan. Dear brother to Kevin (Eileen) of Toronto; John of Tignish; Catherine (Vernon) Gaudette of Tignish; Irene Perry of Tignish; and Frances Anne (late Reginald) Shea of Pleasant View. He is also survived by a sister-in-law, Pauline Harper, of Halifax. He will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by siblings: Mary Doyle, Helen LeClair, Reta Callaghan, Frank Harper, Ray Harper and Clifton Harper.

Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton. Visiting hours Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Wednesday morning from St. Simon and St. Jude Church, Tignish, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m., Rev. Brendon Gallant, Celebrant. Interment later in the Church cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorials to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to St. Simon and St. Jude Cemetery Fund would be gratefully appreciated.
