At the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Sunday, April 19, 2015, of Joseph J.(Joe) LeClair, of St. Roch, P.E.I., age 79 years. Beloved husband to Linda (nee Bernard) LeClair. Born at St. Peter and St. Paul on May 8, 1935, he was the son of the late Peter and Ermine (nee Gallant) LeClair.

Cherished father to Stewart (Norma) of O'Leary; Carl (Tanya) of Bedeque, Christine (Murray) Wheatley of Stratfort; James (Peggy) of Oregon, U.S.A; Barry (Susan) of St. Roch; Sheila (Carl) of St. Roch; Allan (Sheila) of Arthur, Ont.; Donna (Dan) Meyer of Branford, Ont.; Michelle (Paul) Perry of Miscouche; and Marlene (Rick) Pearce of Beaton,  Ont. He will be sadly missed by his 21 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren and by his many nieces and nephews. Dear brother to Alphonse (Irene) of St. Peter and St. Paul; Viola Gallant of St. Peter and St. Paul; Anne Marie Richard of St. Peter and St. Paul; Doris Pitre of Cornwall; Beatice Martin of St. Roch; Stella (Frederick) Allain of Palmer Road; and Alice Allain of Palmer Road. He is also survived by sisters-in-law, Esther LeClair of Tignish and Julia LeClair of Alberton. He was predeceased by grandchildren, Nathan and Michelle, and by brothers Arthur and Gerard.

Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton. Visiting hours Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Thursday morning from St. Simon and St. Jude Church, Tignish, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m., Rev. Brendon Gallant, Celebrant. Interment later in the Church cemetery.
