Peacefully at the Western Hospital, Alberton, on Saturday, December 20, 2014, of Edna Marjorie Gaudet, beloved wife of Wilfred J. (Freddie) Gaudet of Dalton Ave., Tignish, age 83 years. Born at Christophers Cross on December 18, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Susan (nee Nelligan) Hogan. Lovingly remembered by her children: Gary of Halifax, Sue Ann of Duncan, B.C., Wayne of Mississauga and Floyd of Mississauga.

She is also survived by her step-children: Paul (Judy) Gaudet of Taylor Road, Carl (Jacinta) Gaudet of St. Edwards, Floyd (Marie) of St. Roch, and Cathy Corrigan (Peter Gaudet) of St.Edwards. Cherished grandmother to Jason, Meaghan, Ashley, Sarah, Garth, Dillon and Hannah. Great-grandmother to four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by 12 step-grandchildren and by 12 step great-grandchildren. Dear sister to Doris Gillis of Maplewood Manor Alberton. She was predeceased by her first Husband, Phil Bernard, on January 1, 1993, her son Howard, her step-son Wayne, and by siblings, Sr. Irma Hogan CND, Frankie, Walter, Howard, Earl, Lon, Chester, Lloyd  and Winnifred.

Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton. Visiting hours Monday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral on Tuesday morning, December 23, 2014, from St. Simon and St. Jude Church, Tignish, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m., Rev. Brendon Gallant, Celebrant. Interment in the church cemetery.

As a expression of sympathy, memorials to the Western Hospital Equipment Fund or to St. Simon and St. Jude Cemetery Fund would be greatfully appreciated.

Tignish Council of the C.W.L will hold a prayer vigil at the funeral home Monday evening at 6:45 p.m.
