Suddenly at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on
Thursday, December 18, 2014, with his loving family by his side, of
Neil Joseph Richard of Summerside, and formerly of St. Felix, PEI, age
58 years. Beloved husband of Karen Marie (nee DesRoches) Richard. Born
on October 31, 1956, he was the dear son of Emmanuel Richard of
Tignish, and the late Mary Ellen (nee Buote) Richard.
Lovingly remembered by his daughter Michelle (Jason) Lamont
of Charlottetown and son Malcolm (Vanessa) of Alberton. Cherished
grandfather to Zack and Dawson. Dear brother to: Gary (Gale) of
Toronto; Philip (Brenda) of St. Roch; Stephen of Alberta; Barbara
(Leonard) Buote of St. Roch; Phyllis (Claude) DesRoches of St. Roch;
Blaine of Tignish; Edna (Eric) Martell of Georgetown; Joey (Allison)
of Toronto; Mary (Cyril) Chaisson of Ascension; and Jenny (Brian)
Clements of Alberton. He will be sadly missed by his father and
mother-in-law, Delsie and Melvina (nee Martin) DesRoches of St. Felix,
brother-in-law, Corey DesRoches, and by niece, Destiny and nephew
Pierson. He is also survived by his many nieces and
nephews.
Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home Alberton. Visiting hours
Sunday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral on Monday morning, December 22,
2014, from St. Simon and St. Jude Church, Tignish, for funeral mass at
10:30 a.m., Rev. Brendon Gallant, celebrant. Interment in the Church
cemetery.
